AMAZEMENT SQUARE CULTIVATES AN ENGAGED COMMUNITY OF LIFELONG LEARNERS BY SPARKING IMAGINATION, CREATIVITY, AND CURIOSITY.

As a Children’s Interactive Museum, we focus on interacting and working with children through various exhibits, programs, and events. We are also a certified Autism Center!

Gallery Attendant: Gallery Attendant volunteers work with Museum Educators to help museum visitors explore and understand hands-on, interactive exhibits in eight multidisciplinary galleries. Shifts are available Wednesday - Sunday during operating hours.

Exhibit Maintenance: Duties may include cleaning exhibit environments, touch-up painting, or skilled exhibit fabrication. Basic art skills are required due to paint touch-ups and other art-related projects. Shifts are available Monday - Friday between 9am-5pm.

Special Event: Special events volunteers participate in the museum’s outreach, educational, or fundraising events such as the Museum After Dark, Amazing Mile Children’s Run, Ugly Bug Ball, and Children’s Holiday Festival.

Gift Shop: Gift shop volunteers will assist the shop manager in keeping everything stocked and organized, assist guests with purchases from finding products to meet their needs to check them out at the register. Shifts are available Wednesday - Sunday during operating hours. Must be 16 years or older.

Facilities Maintenance: Facilities maintenance entails painting, staining, cleaning, setting up and tearing down from rentals, organizing facilities-related inventory, landscape care (weeds, branches, snow), and moving facilities-related items to and from storage. Shifts are available Monday - Friday between 9am-5pm.

Birthday Parties: Birthday party volunteers work with birthday facilitators in cleaning, resetting, and tearing down birthday rooms as well as assisting with activities during enhanced birthdays. Shifts available on Saturdays and Sundays during operating hours. Must be 16 years or older.

Programs: Program volunteers assist with the museum’s weekly HIVE programming on Saturday afternoons. Volunteers will interact with museum visitors and assist with set-up, facilitation, and clean-up of the program. Shifts are available Saturday afternoons during operating hours.
