Metropolitan Energy Center (MEC) is dedicated to creating resource efficiency, environmental health, and economic vitality in the Kansas City region and beyond.

Since 1983, we have provided resources, outreach, and training to make alternative fuels and energy efficiency commonplace.

Building Performance: Our buildings use energy every day: at home, at work, at the library and at school. It’s how we cool and heat our homes and charge our phones. We strive to make energy affordable, reliable, and healthier for all.
