AKO Tanzania is a community-based non-governmental organization committed to improving the quality of life of vulnerable communities in Tanzania through sustainable, inclusive, and community-led development initiatives.

Our work spans key sectors including education, healthcare, WASH, agriculture, and environmental protection. We implement clean water solutions such as borehole drilling and rainwater harvesting systems, and construct sanitation facilities in schools and public places to promote health, dignity, and hygiene.

In education and health, AKO Tanzania supports the construction and renovation of school and health facility buildings, provides scholarships to vulnerable children, and assists disadvantaged individuals and families who are unable to pay essential hospital and medical bills.

We also promote food security and livelihoods through agricultural projects, with a strong focus on empowering women and youth. Our environmental initiatives include tree planting, biogas production, and the promotion of renewable and environmentally friendly technologies that strengthen community resilience.

AKO Tanzania works in close partnership with local communities, government institutions, and international partners.
