  • About Us

Each Year, BU PATH advisors support college and career exploration for thousands of students in Boston, Malden and Somerville. Through one-to-one advising, college and career planning events, workshops and small group sessions, advisers help high school students explore their options, create a plan and achieve their goals for meaningful opportunities after high school. PATH places well-trained recent college graduates into under-served high schools to serve as near-peer AmeriCorps college and career advisors. PATH advisors work within their school placements to promote a culture of college attendance and to increase educational opportunities for all students. PATH advisors assist students with completing college or trade applications and applying for financial aid; advisers are committed to helping each student find his or her “best-fit” postsecondary option.

PATH Advising Program currently has 23 advisors serving in 26 high schools.
