  • Mission

Quarantutors is an organization of high school students offering free online tutoring to K-12 students in need of academic support, dedicated towards improving education for all.

    About Us

Quarantutors was founded on March 18, 2020, in response to the global coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. The March 13 announcement of Santa Clara County-wide school closures drove the Quarantutors founding team, self-branded as a riff on the word "quarantine," to begin formulating its program of free one-on-one video tutoring for K-12 students in the area.

Within days of conception, Quarantutors expanded from its base in northern California to include students and tutors in other parts of the country and even the world, from Texas to New Jersey to Italy. Today, Quarantutors is still growing its core of tutors, reaching more students, and hoping to provide stability through education to those who need it.

Quarantutors is a Certifying Organization for the President's Volunteer Service Award and provides Community Service hours. Tutors may request an application by emailing info@quarantutors.com.
