Hearts of Care Orphan Project's mission is to improve the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children in Uganda by ensuring access to quality education, essential healthcare, nutritious food, and safe shelter. we work alongside local families and communities to build resilience, promote dignity, and create long-term pathways out of poverty so every child can grow up healthy, educated, and equipped for an independent future.

Hearts of Care Orphan Project is a Uganda-based nonprofit founded to stand with children and families who have been left vulnerable by loss, poverty, and lack of opportunity.

Our Story & Focus

We believe every child deserves safety, learning, and a chance to dream beyond their circumstances. Our work centers on orphaned and vulnerable children, but we also support single mothers and elderly caregivers because strong families -strong children. When a mother or grandparent can earn income and access healthcare, children stay in school and grow up healthier.

What We Do Daily

1. Education First – Cover school fees, uniforms, books, and tutoring so children don’t drop out due to cost.
2. Health & Nutrition – Fund medical care, provide sanitary pads, health education, and daily meals so children and elderly can thrive, not just survive.
3. Safe Shelter & Basic Needs – Provide housing support, clothing, and essentials to create stable, loving homes.
4. Livelihood & Independence – Train single mothers and elderly caregivers in skills like farming, tailoring, and small business so families can support themselves long-term.
5. Dignity & Community – Build programs around local leadership. We partner with caregivers and community members to make sure solutions fit the real needs on the ground.

How We’re Different

We don’t offer short-term handouts. We focus on relationships and resilience. Every program is designed to protect children today while equipping families for independence tomorrow. We track progress, listen to the community, and adapt.
