The Warming Place

To provide warm, safe daytime and overnight shelter for individuals experiencing homelessness while fostering a compassionate and supportive environment through collaboration with medical and social service providers.

The Warming Place is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Nantucket residents experiencing homelessness. Through a low-barrier overnight and daytime shelter, meals, grocery assistance, and connections to essential services, The Warming Place provides safety, dignity, and compassionate support to some of the island’s most vulnerable individuals. In partnership with local organizations and community members, we work to address both immediate needs and long-term stability while fostering a welcoming environment grounded in respect, hope, and human connection.
