Mates Fund is a registered Australian charity working alongside communities in Fiji and Pakistan to deliver practical, transparent, and community-led development — focusing on education, infrastructure, and ethical crisis response.

Mates Fund was built on a simple belief: there has to be a better way to do this.

We are a 100% volunteer-run, community-led development organisation focused on long-term partnerships rather than one-off aid. Our work began in Fiji — shaped by deep, lasting relationships with community leaders who taught us that meaningful change doesn't come from arriving with answers. It comes from listening, staying, and showing up consistently.

Today, Mates Fund operates across three program areas: Mates Fiji (education, water access, and essential infrastructure), Mates Pakistan (education initiatives for girls and young people through trusted local partners), and Mates in Crisis (disaster preparedness, recovery, and climate resilience).

There are no salaries, no paid board, and no hidden overheads. Every dollar is tracked, reported, and directed toward the communities we work alongside. We prioritise local leadership, transparent decision-making, and delivery over optics — because trust matters.
