University of Hartford
The University of Hartford, located in West Hartford, CT is a private university with a public purpose. In 1957 a group of visionary business and community leaders shared the belief that Hartford needed a university. So, they founded one. That spirit of dedication to our community has permeated our mission ever since. At the University of Hartford, we not only prepare students for successful careers; we prepare them for successful lives as citizens in a democracy. Our academic programs are outstanding. Known for excellence in the performing and visual arts, engineering, communication, and business, we continue to push the intellectual envelope as we pursue an integrated approach to science, engineering, and technology education. Our campus continues to develop, and our reputation as a quality educational institution continues to grow dramatically. With 5,500 undergraduates and 1,700 graduate students, we are larger and more selective than at any time in our history. We take great pride in the rich diversity of our students, who come from all over to live and learn together.
