    About Us

Sarasota Scullers is a youth rowing organization serving athletes from approximately age 10 through the end of high school. We are dedicated to developing strong rowers and strong individuals by providing high‑quality rowing opportunities in a supportive, structured environment. Our programs emphasize skill development, teamwork, discipline, and personal growth, helping young athletes build confidence and resilience both on and off the water.

We serve youth with a wide range of experience levels, from beginners discovering the sport for the first time to committed athletes pursuing competitive rowing. Through consistent coaching, safe training practices, and positive mentorship, Sarasota Scullers helps young people develop healthy habits, leadership skills, and a sense of responsibility to their teammates and community.

Our organization is grounded in the values of sportsmanship, integrity, inclusion, and respect—for one another, for our coaches and competitors, and for the waterways we use. We believe rowing is most impactful when it is accessible, supportive, and focused on long‑term personal development rather than short‑term outcomes alone.

As a nonprofit organization, Sarasota Scullers relies on dedicated volunteers and community support to sustain and grow our programs. Sound financial stewardship is essential to ensuring that we can continue providing safe, affordable, and enriching rowing opportunities for local youth. Volunteers who support our financial operations play a critical role in helping us serve families responsibly and plan thoughtfully for the future.
