Community Carrot advances social justice and racial equity by teaching young adult entrepreneurs from low-income backgrounds how to start their own successful business.
We serve 18 to 24 year olds from King and Snohomish Counties in Washington who test for high entrepreneurial traits and come from low income backgrounds. These individuals are less likely to have access to a business education, mentors, and startup capital. So we provide that to get them started on a microbusiness that can grow with them and eventually become their primary source of income. That helps break the cycle of poverty.
