CANCollaborate

CANCollaborate is a non-profit 501(c)(3) dedicated to fostering communication, cooperation and collaborations among researchers and institutions with the goal of accelerating scientific research generally, and treatments and cures for diseases specifically.

Developing a Collaborative Model

CANCollaborate has a number of projects. The first being launched is a platform that simplifies collaboration among leading researchers seeking to exchange material and data to accelerate discoveries. It solves the problem of months' delay in negotiating agreements that slows research and adds expense.

Other projects include mechanisms to reduce redundant research that wastes funding and perhaps more importantly research time; incentives for publishing results from failed research to avoid multiple teams duplicating experiments destined to fail: means to improve the financing environment for scientific breakthroughs with new business models and financing structures that can reduce risk and provide rewards while addressing the needs of basic research.

Other projects are being discussed, all with the goal and mission of accelerating scientific research that will better humanity.
