  • Mission

Project WORTHY (WORking Together for Homeless Youth) empowers youth affected by homelessness through hands-on STEM education, mentorship, and enrichment. We aim to ignite curiosity, foster confidence in science and problem-solving, and provide meaningful opportunities for students to explore STEM in a supportive, engaging environment. Our ultimate goal is to expand access to high-quality STEM experiences for underserved youth nationwide.

    About Us

Over the past three years, we have reached more than 1,000 students across shelters and transitional housing sites, providing structured STEM lessons, project-based experiments, and interactive activities tailored for elementary and middle school students.

Our core values are equity, curiosity, and community impact. We focus on youth who face barriers to STEM education, ensuring they have opportunities to explore science, build skills, and gain mentorship. Volunteers not only help deliver these programs but also develop leadership, teaching, and project-management experience.

To broaden our impact, Project WORTHY is creating opportunities for students at other schools to start local chapters, bringing STEM outreach to their communities and empowering more youth across the country to discover, explore, and succeed in science.
