Since 1967, Harlem Commonwealth Council (HCC) has advanced economic mobility and educational opportunity in West Harlem. Our mission is to close the generational wealth gap by expanding equitable access to education, innovation, and entrepreneurship. HCC strengthens communities by supporting local business leaders through workforce training, technical assistance, and financial resources, while investing in youth through afterschool and summer STEAM programs and mentorship. Through The Learning Collective, HCC delivers afterschool and summer STEAM programs supported by a strong mentorship model. Guided by a lifespan approach spanning middle school to adulthood, HCC cultivates pathways that drive growth, empowerment, and sustained community impact.
