Building on more than four decades of hospice experience and generous community support, VHOCC provides industry standard hospice care at no cost to the patient or to government programs. Our services include professional 24-7 nursing availability, grief support, medical equipment lending, and education.
Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County is a non-profit charitable organization, which was founded in 1978, and operates with a large volunteer work force. Volunteers positions are varied: providing respite to the caregivers, offering companionship and support to the patients, offering grief and bereavement services to the community in grief support groups or individual sessions, delivering medical equipment and supplies to hospice and non-hospice patients, answering phones in the office, greeting visitors at the reception, providing clerical support in the office, helping with fundraising community events, and more. A small clinical staff and mission support staff handle the clinical aspect of caring for patients and running the organization. We provide all our services free of charge to patients and their families and serve Clallam County from Joyce to Diamond Point.
