Thinking Huts
About Us
Thinking Huts is an international charity founded in 2015 to expand access to quality education by closing the infrastructure gap in underserved communities. With a core team of two, we intentionally focus on one major project at a time so we can fully demonstrate effectiveness—from concept through construction and impact on students and families. Supported by volunteers across Singapore, England, the USA, France, Madagascar, and Italy, our team has led, developed, and built the world’s first 3D‑printed school in Madagascar, with our Honeycomb Campus slated to open for students in the 2027 academic year.
We are the first charity to pioneer 3D printing in school construction, bringing expertise in international relations, supply chain, and transportation while collaborating with architectural design partners and developing 3D technician training programs alongside a technical team in Lombardy, Italy. Our inaugural campus in Madagascar includes the country’s first 3D‑printed school, with additional Honeycomb classrooms underway that will provide safe, solar‑powered, tech‑enabled learning spaces and multi‑use community hubs for children and families from three surrounding villages.
Guided by an all‑female leadership team and a vision of a world where every child can attend school and pursue their dreams, we are pioneering a new era of philanthropy that merges innovation, dignity, and long‑term impact in education access.
