  • Mission

Point Isabel Dog Owners (PIDO) works with the East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD) to maintain and preserve Point Isabel as a multi-use park that welcomes off-leash recreational dogwalking; educates park visitors about park rules and concerns; preserves the natural environment at Point Isabel; and supports other groups in their efforts to preserve on-leash and off-leash recreational dogwalking

    About Us

Point Isabel Dog Owners Association and Friends (PIDO) formed in 1985 to advocate for recreational dogwalking at Point Isabel and around the San Francisco Bay Area. PIDO became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2000 and has approximately 6,000 members.

PIDO works closely with the East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD) to keep Point Isabel clean and safe through education (online, email, and The PIDO Pointer newsletter, which is published three times a year), monthly park cleanups, monthly weed-pulls, and an annual contribution to the EBRPD for poop pickup bags.
