About Us

At Edible Planet, we realize that proper care of the Earth automatically involves proper care of individuals and that the physical, mental and emotional health and vitality of the individual is directly proportional to our ability to be proper Stewards of the planet, our communities, our families and ourselves.

We also understand that the human body is gifted with an immune system that, when provided the proper nutrients, serves us extremely well and that Nature provides us with a food source that, when grown in a truly organic manner and consumed fresh, is superior in nutrients as well as flavor.

With this in mind, Edible Planet provides raised beds, garden spaces and edible landscaping services for individuals and families in Lane County, Oregon.

We feel that there is a huge source of opportunity for urban/suburban organic, edible landscapes with many unrealized benefits which include -

1 - A wiser use of local water supplies.

2 - Empowerment, especially for individuals and families who currently require federal food assistance.

3 - Extremely positive dietary changes.

4 - An opportunity to share excess with neighbors thereby increasing neighborhood cohesion.

5 - Reducing and/or eliminating health care costs.

6 - Less lawn area which means less use of chemicals.

7 - Landscape aesthetics AND productiveness.

8 - Increased interaction with the Natural world.

These are just a few and we bet that you can think of many others. It Just Makes Sense -)
