Volunteers are supported by a paid staff of nine full-time equivalents. Since opening in December 2004, the clinic has seen approximately 3,000 patients and provided over 32,000 patient visits.
After expanding in 2016, the physical plant provides comfortable space for patients and volunteers alike, with a reception area; 3 medical examination rooms; a dental suite with 2 operatories
and a laboratory; optometry clinic; counseling rooms; a classroom, massage/acupuncture treatment room and several offices.
VIM provides a respectful and caring atmosphere, with appointments scheduled to offer adequate time so that providers and patients are not rushed.
