International Center of Greater Cincinnati
Mission
The International Center of Greater Cincinnati is a volunteer-powered nonprofit serving immigrants, refugees, asylees, international students, and global newcomers throughout Greater Cincinnati.
Since 2003, we have helped individuals and families connect with community resources, social services, education, employment support, language assistance, and cultural exchange opportunities. Our mission is to build a welcoming, inclusive community where people from every background can thrive, connect, and contribute.
About Us
About Us:
International Center of Greater Cincinnati was founded in 2003 to provide navigation support for families in a wide range of areas, including education, housing, food & clothing support, transportation, and job support. We often serve as a cultural bridge for families we work with.
Our food pantry & clothing pantry are low barrier, serve non-traditional populations, and are open to all. We serve adult learners through accessible, free ESL and GED classes, host community education events, and work to connect families for community-building opportunities. We assist people experiencing resource gaps, provide referrals to services, and support individuals and families with navigating systems.
All Cincinnatians deserve access to the support and resources they need. To that end, we are always working to help address the need for culturally appropriate assistance in our communities (food, language, housing, childcare, resource referrals). ICGC partners closely with a network of colleges, non-profits, businesses, and community services in our area, and we are working to grow to meet current need in our community.
Our Programs:
- Food & Clothing Pantry: Free food pantry and clothing program to support community members in need.
- Cultural Orientation: Programs to help families learn about and connect with U.S. culture and learn about the Greater Cincinnati area.
- Resource Navigation: Help with finding and navigating U.S. systems and resources, including housing, healthcare, employment, education, childcare, legal services, finances/banking, language access, transportation and referrals.
- Volunteer Program: We engage individuals and groups, including event-based, ongoing, and special project volunteers. We are always in need of volunteers to support families with connection, friendship, daily activities (like grocery shopping), and building a sense of belonging in the Greater Cincinnati area.
