Mission
To share the amazing history of fossils, especially Florida's fossil past, by providing interactive experiences for all ages in a natural environment.
About Us
Paleontological Education Preserve (dba Paleo Preserve Fossil Museum) is a small nonprofit museum that was founded by Frank Garcia to share the history of the Leisey Shell Pit discovery of 1983 in which many fossils from the Pleistocene time period were uncovered. For over 20 years the museum has shared the amazing history of Florida's fossils with all ages through museum tours, presentations, and fossil hunts. Paleo Preserve Fossil Museum looks forward to continuing to serve the public by providing a fun way to learn Florida history!
