The Launch Initiative empowers rising graduate students to overcome the financial and systemic barriers of rigorous admissions processes through mentorship, scholarship and community.

At The Launch Initiative, we believe every student should have access to the individual, financial and community support they need to achieve their academic and professional goals. Our unique cohort system, supported by leaders and mentors, empowers students and provides a lifelong, supportive community ready to help navigate each stage of their professional career.

The Launch Initiative was created with a singular purpose - to mentor, empower and guide students as they navigate their professional education journey. Founded by Drs. Tuan Nguyen, Thuy Nguyen and Joseph Braud, the organization is deeply rooted in their personal experiences. Each of them faced and overcame significant obstacles on their paths to success, inspiring them to establish The Launch Initiative as a way to open doors for the next generation.

Once students are accepted, they will become part of a cohort of peers — other students in the process of advancing their professional education and careers. Throughout the year, the cohort will meet as a group for guest speakers and other networking opportunities. This group, along with paired 1:1 mentors, will be their foundation.
