About Us

WIL Uganda is a grassroots women's empowerment NGO based in rural Uganda.

WIL Uganda operates with the mission to empower women and girls with the knowledge and skills to become leaders in their own communities contributing to equitable development.

WIL Uganda runs interactive volunteer led programmes in several high schools in a rural village called Busembatia and in the local community to empower women and girls.

We currently run five programmes in Town Side High school namely Leadership, Rights and Advocacy, Career Guidance, Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights and Teen Voices. Our Teen Voice programme runs in partnership with Teen Voices New York. We run 3 programmes for out of school women and girls namely business skills adult literacy and crafts.
