Brookdale Hospital Medical Center is a nonprofit medical services provider that is a critical part of the healthcare delivery system in the borough of Brooklyn. Located in the heart of Brownsville, one of the most economically challenged communities of NYC, Brookdale remains dedicated to its founding mission, which is being the focus of a healthy community, stressing the organization’s values of caring and respect for everyone.
HealthySteps is an evidence-based, interdisciplinary pediatric primary care program that promotes positive parenting and healthy development for babies and toddlers, with an emphasis on families living in low-income communities. Since 2016, the Brookdale Family Care Centers at New Lots and Eastern Parkway have offered this unique program to families.
