The Olga Lengyel Institute for Holocaust Studies and Human Rights (TOLI)
- New York
The Olga Lengyel Institute (TOLI) is a New York-based public charitable institution that provides
professional development to inspire and sustain educators teaching about the Holocaust, other
genocides, and human rights across the United States and overseas.
TOLi was created to help educate future generations about the Holocaust. Each year, our cornerstone professional development program - the New York City Summer Seminar - engages a select group of middle school, high school, college, and university educators in an intensive 12-day program of study.
Modeled on the New York City Summer Seminar and led by its graduates, TOLI's regionali Satellite Seminars - held in a growing number of communities nationwide - offer educators access to important resources, enabling them to teach creatively and effectively about the Holocaust and human rights. Its international seminars provide faculty development and support to European teachers seeking to incorporate formal study of the Holocaust and social justice into their classrooms.
