The Oaks Academy
The Oaks Academy is a school currently serving 555 Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade students at two school locations in Indianapolis urban neighborhoods. Students benefit from a Christ-centered, classical education: humanities-based, interdisciplinary curriculum filled with Latin lessons, nature walks, and recitations.
The Oaks Academy was founded to serve children of diverse backgrounds. Specific to racial identity, families represent 38% African American, 48% White American, and 14% other. Specific to socioeconomics, families represent 50% low-income, 25% middle-income, and 25% high-income.
Though an independent nonprofit school with tuition rates of approximately $7,000 to $9,000 annually, The Oaks Academy distributes scholarships to 75% of enrolled families. This year, that equates to approximately $2.9 million in need-based scholarships.
