Friends of the Torrance Library

  • Mission

Our mission is to collect new and gently used books, CDs, and DVDs from the community and to sell these items online, in the lobby of the library, and at our three times yearly book sales. All of our proceeds are granted to the Torrance Public Libraries to support various programs, including the summer reading program.

    About Us

We serve the entire South Bay LA community by supporting diverse library programs for both children and adults. Among these programs are musical performances, craft demonstrations, job-seeking seminars, and many others. We also serve the community by providing a place for unused or unwanted books, CDs, and DVDs to be donated to be given a second life with a new owner. In addition, we donate books to schools, teachers, veteran groups, prisons, and other needy organizations.
