    To champion education and cultural activities to American Indians and others and serve as an urban model of systematic renewal for Native people in urban environments.

    About Us

    The American Indian Association of Illinois is the primary educational institution for American Indians in the state of Illinois. It offers college preparation for Native youth and and adults, including Adult Education, as well as programs to explore and preserve Native American languages and cultures. Other educational programs involve Native American children and youth and mentoring opportunities for older adults as part of the Native Scholars program and Native Leadership Institute.It also houses the Native Chicago Artist's Registry, the Black Hawk Performance Company,Native Chicago News, the American Indian Women's Alliance, NAES College -American Indian Library and Archives, the Native Chicago Language Academy and the National Congress of Urban American Indians.
