Baltimore Homecoming, Inc.
1427 Clarkview Road
Baltimore Homecoming is a new initiative that seeks to build a national network of accomplished Baltimore natives and reconnect them with their hometown, reawakening and deepening personal ties to Baltimore and sparking new partnerships, investments and collaborations. The program is modeled loosely off the Detroit Homecoming, which has successfully mobilized tens of millions of dollars in investments in that city.
In our first year, BHI’s efforts will focus on the Homecoming conference, which will be held on October 3-5, 2018. The three-day conference will engage roughly 150 out-of-town guests and alumni, showcasing for them the city’s next generation of innovators, artists and activists.
Baltimore Homecoming, Inc was founded by Nate Loewentheil and JM Schapiro. Our Homecoming Host Committee includes dozens of city leaders and notables, including:
- Wes Moore, CEO, Robin Hood Foundation
- Ron Daniels, President, Hopkins University
- Elijah Cummings, U.S. House of Representatives
- Julie Bowen, Actress
- Calvin Butler, CEO, BGE
- Josh Charles, Actor
Nate Loewentheil serves as President of Baltimore Homecoming, and the Deputy Director will report directly to him.
