  • Mission

Make a lasting impact by volunteering to mentor one student—and change two lives in the process.

    About Us

Since its inception, the Covington Mentoring Program has had over 1,300 (unduplicated) caring adults witness firsthand the meaning behind Mentor One Student, Change Two Lives. Our program maintains 200+ mentoring matches annually, with volunteer mentors acting as positive adult role models to 3rd-12th grade students attending Covington Independent Public Schools. Volunteer mentors have the opportunity to share unique skills and experiences through various mentoring options (including school-based, work-based, community-based and after school) which allow the flexibility to accommodate any schedule. Data shows that positive mentoring relationships are highly impactful and students with mentors have better school attendance, fewer behavior referrals, and improved academic achievement.
