About Us
The YWCA's mission is to eliminate racism and empower women. The YWCA COC is dedicated to empowering women by providing high quality programs such as My Sister’s Closet, which provides clothing for women in need; Joanie’s Purse Project, which provides purses and toilettries to women in shelters; the Dorothy Halleck Scholarship and Beverly’s House First Steps, a unique residency program for young women recently emancipated from foster care upon turning 18.
