Indiana Statewide Independent Living Council

The Indiana Statewide Independent Living Council (INSILC) is a nonprofit organization that works to advance independence, access, inclusion, and opportunities for Hoosiers with disabilities.

Guided by the Independent Living Philosophy, we believe that people with disabilities should have the same control over their lives as anyone else.

Our Council is made up of a majority of people with disabilities and works alongside Indiana’s Centers for Independent Living and other partners to hear directly from people with disabilities across the state.

Together, we identify barriers, support solutions, and promote statewide initiatives that help people with disabilities live independently and fully participate in their communities.
