Haitian Institute for Human Rights & Protection
Mission
HIHRP's mission is to promote and protect human rights by providing accessible services, legal guidance, and community-based support to Haitian and vulnerable populations. We envision a society where every individual is treated with dignity, has access to justice, and can live free from fear and discrimination.
About Us
HIHRP was founded on a simple but powerful belief: every person deserves dignity, protection, and the opportunity to thrive.
We exist because too many Haitian and vulnerable communities face invisible barriers—language gaps, system complexity, lack of access to legal support, and cultural isolation. These aren't just obstacles; they're opportunities for transformation.
Our work isn't about rescue—it's about empowerment. We provide the tools, knowledge, and support people need to navigate systems, claim their rights, and build futures of their own design.
