    The perfect candidate would be fluent in Haitian-Creole and English, but we invite applicants of any language background to apply.

    Description

    The Haitian Institute for Human Rights and Protection (HIHRP) is seeking dedicated ESL tutors to support our 8 week ESL Program.

    Help individuals build confidence, learn English, and access new opportunities.

    Our ESL program is 100% online, allowing for a flexible schedule. We only require a commitment of 3 hours per week and to meet with your student twice a week for 60–90 minutes.

    As an ESL Tutor, you will:

    • Support students in improving their English
    • Help to create a welcoming and respectful learning environment
    • Be part of a mission focused on dignity, access, and opportunity

    As an ESL Tutor, you will gain:

    • Hands-on community experience
    • Leadership and teaching skills
    • Volunteer/service hours (if applicable)
