The BeTER Foundation is creating the infrastructure needed to support common but non-conventional forms of medical treatment called "biotherapy" or "symbiotic medicine:" Maggot therapy for wound care, Leech therapy to optimize circulation and reattach limbs, honey bee sting therapy for a variety of neurologic and rheumatologic ailments, therapy and support animals, and other modalities that use live animals to help treat illness. We provide education, conduct research, support therapists, and help patients access affordable treatment.
