    The Pauli Murray Awards Foundation Inc. (PMAF) honors and uplifts members of the Black LGBTQIA+ community making an impact across law, politics, art, sports, science, media, and more. Inspired by the legacy of the renowned activist, scholar, and poet Rev. Dr. Pauli Murray, the foundation is dedicated to fostering visibility, community, and celebration through annual awards, events, and digital storytelling.

    About Us

    Each year, the Pauli Murray Awards recognize 40 outstanding Black LGBTQ+ individuals aged 18-39 who are driving meaningful change in their fields. Through innovative programming, annual recognition, and financial support, the foundation educates the community and provides these outstanding Black LGBTQIA+ leaders with a platform to amplify their work and expand their networks.
