Brown Fox/Point Early Childhood Education Center

About Us

Brown/Fox Point Early Childhood Education Center has provided a high quality full-day preschool program for over 40 years to families that live, work, or study in our community. Formed by Brown University and the Fox Point Neighborhood Association as a child care cooperative, we incorporated as an independent non-profit agency in 1979. Located in Providence, Rhode Island, the Center has four mixed-age preschool classrooms that strive to serve families who represent the racial, ethnic, linguistic, socio-economic, and familial diversity of our community. The Center currently uses an anti-bias curriculum and part of our strategic plan is to define and deepen our understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion as an organization and community. With an annual budget of 1.1 million and maximum enrollment of 72 students, the Center is led by an Executive Director in collaboration with a Board of Directors committed to upholding the core values of the organization and ensuring that children are respected, engaged and guided to think, reason, question, and learn.
