  • Mission

Courage In Motion empowers under served youth and families across New York City by providing transformative exposure experiences, mentorship, community support, workforce development opportunities, and affordable housing initiatives that promote stability, inspire imagination, and create pathways to brighter futures.

    About Us

Courage In Motion is a New York City nonprofit dedicated to empowering underserved youth and families through exposure, stability, and opportunity. We focus on the whole picture: young people, their families, and the communities they live in.

We do this through several key areas of work:

    • Affordable housing initiatives that aim to create safe, stable homes for working- and middle-income families so kids can grow without the constant stress of displacement.
    • Youth development and mentorship that build confidence, character, and life skills.
    • Transformative exposure experiences—like games, cultural events, college tours, and trips—that help youth see a world of possibilities beyond their block.
    • Workforce and trade exploration that introduce young people to real career paths and practical skills.
    • Community drives and support that provide clothing, resources, and a sense of care for families in need.

As a leadership team with lived experience in the communities we serve, we value truth, integrity, faith, compassion, and empowerment. Our goal is simple: to help youth and families move from surviving to thriving, with stable housing, real opportunities, and the courage to imagine a better future.
