  • Mission

The Terra Psy project in Lesvos, Greece, aims to provide holistic and genuinely supportive psychological and psychosocial care for families, women and children in exile through individual consultation and collective actions.

    About Us

Terra Psy - Psychologists Without Borders is a humanitarian NGO committed since 2004 to improving access to psychological care for vulnerable populations. Our mission is to reduce psychological, medical and social barriers by adapting our practices to the needs and realities of displaced individuals and communities.

In France, our psychologists offer support to individuals with limited access to mental health services - migrants, survivors of violence, people experiencing social precarity, and vulnerable children. We also support frontline professionals through training, clinical supervision, and specialized consulting.

Internationally, Terra Psy intervenes in contexts where access to psychological care is extremely limited or non-existent. We offer direct support to people on the move, and we strengthen local capacity through partnerships with NGOs and community-based organizations. Terra Psy has conducted missions in Morocco, Mali, Angola, Lebanon, Greece, Mayotte and Gaza.

In Lesvos, a program has been developed offering : individuals and families psychological consultations, psychosocial activities for children, support groups for parents, social services in favor of psychosocial stability. Since our establishment in 2023, we significantly expanded our activities, built strong partnerships, and developed a deeper understanding of the local challenges.

The Terra Psy offices are located within a community center called "Parea Lesvos". This center brings together 11 NGOs working to welcome and support the exiled persons during the day, offering them a variety of activities and services (food distribution, clothes and hygiene distribution, laundry service, women’s safe space, bicycle and electronic repair shop, etc…).

Our philosophy is grounded in humanistic values that place the individual and their dignity at the center of every intervention. We promote unconditional and compassionate welcoming practices and strive to create safe and supportive environments that foster trust, expression, and recovery. Through training and capacity building, we support local actors, community leaders, and peers in promoting community-based support, mutual aid, and long-term psychosocial resilience.
