Founded in 1903, the YWCA Greensboro has served as a driving force for social change and advocacy on behalf of the community's most vulnerable and marginalized people. For over 120 years, we have served adults and children through an extensive array of educational and supportive programs, racial justice, anti-violence, and economic advancement programs while facilitating community conversations around women's rights, healthcare, voting rights, homelessness, and more. Today, we serve marginalized populations including families with children experiencing homelessness, pregnant and parenting teens, and minority mothers at risk of infant mortality, through three main program areas. All areas provide intensive case management services, resource connection, and meet basic needs through providing meals and needed personal & infant care items. We maintain strong partnerships within the community to best serve families.
