Green Halo Scholars

Green Halo Scholars was founded in 2017 to assist high-achieving first-generation and low-income high school seniors from the western suburbs of Chicago with the college admissions process. Through one-on-one mentoring, we assist our students in matriculating to college by providing college application support, essay and test prep tutoring, interview preparation, and financial aid advocacy. Ninety percent of our scholars qualify for the federal free/reduced lunch program, and seventy percent will be the first in their families to attend college. Since our founding, we’ve assisted over 100 scholars in getting to college.
