  • Mission

To empower women and children who have survived domestic abuse with safe housing resources, mental health support, and programs that promote healing and economic independence, helping them reclaim their confidence and strength.

    About Us

The I Am House supports women and children who have survived domestic abuse as they move from crisis to stability and long-term independence. Our work is rooted in safety, healing, and empowerment, and volunteers play a direct role in making that possible.

When you volunteer with The I Am House, you are not doing busy work. You are helping create access to safe resources, organized systems, meaningful programs, and community connections that survivors rely on as they rebuild their lives. Your time helps us show up consistently, respond quickly, and serve families with dignity and care.

We value volunteers who believe in survivor-centered work, respect lived experience, and understand that real change happens through community. Whether you are supporting events, administration, outreach, or skill-based projects, your contribution helps restore hope, choice, and stability for women and children who deserve a safe future.

If you want your time to matter and your service to have a real impact, we would love to work alongside you.
