The Homeless World Cup
The Homeless World Cup uses football to energise people who are homeless to change their own lives.
At the 6th Melbourne 2008 Homeless World Cup 56 nations, players who are homeless, will be united to represent their country and change their lives. Over 70% change after participating coming off drugs and alcohol, moving in to homes, jobs, education, repairing relationships, even becoming coaches and pro-players.
The Homeless World Cup has triggered football programmes in over 60 nations working with 30,000 people who are homeless all year round.
Our mission is to engage one million players in 75 nations by 2012.
