TANZANIA TEACHING FOUNDATION

  • Mission

The Tanzania Teaching Foundation (TTF) began as a mission of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. TTF is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals, families, and communities in Tanzania through a targeted education program. Our English Bridge Program enrolls 20 girls and 20 boys from rural Tanzania, who are about to enter secondary school (high school). The program gives students the necessary skills to succeed and excel in secondary school. The English Bridge Program is about “teaching them to fish” – so they will develop culturally relevant solutions for the challenges facing their communities. TTF works to sustain long-term relationships with members of the Manow community and to enrich the lives of both Tanzanians and our American volunteers.
