  • Mission

Pack Away Hunger’s mission is to eliminate hunger in Indiana and around the world starts with providing nutritious food, hunger education, and service opportunities.

    About Us

Founded in 2010, PAH is an Indianapolis based non-profit dedicated to eliminating hunger in Indiana and around the world through nutritious food, education and service. As its main program, PAH facilitates inclusive, assembly-line style meal packing events that engage volunteers from schools, corporate, civic and social organizations and produce highly-nutritious, shelf-stable Nutri-Plenty(r) meals made of rice, soy, dehydrated vegetables and an M+ vitamins/minerals packet. Meals are then sent to local or international hunger relief organizations for distribution to those seeking hunger relief assistance. PAH’s long-term vision is a world where everyone has access to a nutritious meal and the opportunity to give back.

Additionally, PAH provides a specialized program focused on nutrition and hunger education tailored specifically for students. Alongside packaging meals with their peers, participants in PAH's Nutrition & Hunger Education program also engage in a 30-45 minute session on the importance of nutrition and hunger awareness, exploring the impact on both the students themselves and their communities. The entire event is designed to be completed within two hours. First offered in 2021, PAH has since conducted 20 nutrition & hunger education meal packing events and educated 1,770 students aged 6-18.
