Mission
Since 1985, our mission has been to support the enhancement, development and promotion of La Porte’s City parks. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we work closely with the La Porte Park and Recreation Department to create vibrant, inclusive spaces that enrich the lives of our residents and visitors.
Together, we are committed to preserving the natural beauty of our city, fostering community engagement and creating opportunities for recreation and relaxation.

At the La Porte City Park Foundation, we're not just preserving parks-we're nurturing joy, community and a love for the outdoors. Since 1985, we've partnered with the City of La Porte Park and Recreation Department to create vibrant spaces where people of all ages come together to play, learn and thrive.
Whether we're restoring natural habitats, creating innovative play areas or bringing people together through programs, every step we take is fueled by the passion to make La Porte's parks a cornerstone.
