Resonate Choral Arts is a 501(c)3 Non Profit organization that promotes growth, learning, service and connection in the context of two women’s choirs. While creating, learning and performing choral programs, the members of Murmuration and the Franklin High School After-School Women’s Ensemble apply the principles of skilled musical artistry to their own life processes. Interactions with each other and with the community at large are intended to embody the members’ best aspirations for themselves and the world. Not “just” a choir, Resonate aims to grow its members.
Resonate provides the following structure for the benefit of its members:
Engaging performance materials that both challenge and satisfy the creative desires of the singers. Exercises during the rehearsal process that link artistic skills with life skills. A collaborative spirit that calls out member’s hidden talents, leadership qualities, and gifts for themselves, each other, and the larger community. Fund raising activities that support the choir and its staff. Opportunities for social interaction between members to enrich the choir experience. Working primarily with other non profit and service organizations, Resonate approaches its performance schedule as community outreach. Concerts can be arranged as fund raisers for local groups, as educational events for audiences of all ages, and as cultural experiences for those who might not otherwise be able to attend live performance.
