    The Amelia Douglas Institute (ADI) celebrates and uplifts Métis culture in British Columbia through educational exhibitions, programs, and research. The Institute connects Métis people throughout the province with their culture, heritage, and Michif languages through virtual and in-person resources and initiatives and educates the public about Métis people and culture.

    The Amelia Douglas Institute (ADI) for Métis Culture and Language serves as British Columbia’s only Métis culture, language, and heritage institute. ADI’s mandate is to strengthen Métis cultural identity and belonging by offering a diverse array of virtual and in-person initiatives that highlight Métis language, traditions, research and artistic expression.
