Our Mission: Preventing and Ending Homelessness in the U.S.

The National Alliance to End Homelessness is a non-partisan organization dedicated to preventing and ending homelessness in the United States. We help build stronger and more resilient communities by advancing equitable, socially just, and evidence-based strategies and policies that are critical to ending homelessness.

    About Us

The National Alliance to End Homelessness is a leading voice on the issue of homelessness. Since 1983, the Alliance has been committed to developing effective solutions and pragmatic strategies to END homelessness, not simply manage homelessness. By focusing on cost-efficient, outcomes-based methods, the Alliance has influenced both federal policies and local practice while creating public acceptance of the idea that ending homelessness is possible. We work collaboratively with the public, private, and nonprofit sectors to build state and local capacity, and provide data and research to policymakers in order to inform policy debates and educate the public and opinion leaders nationwide.
