  • Mission

Ssamba Foundation is a Ugandan non-profit organization committed to creating opportunities for vulnerable children, women, and families through community-led development. While the Foundation has served communities for nearly two decades, our work is now focused at the Ssamba Centre, a Community Resource & Empowerment Centre in rural Mukono District where all of our programs, volunteer activities, and community outreach are coordinated.

    About Us

Through our three commitments, Educate, Empower, and Sustain, we support education, women's empowerment, food security, sustainable agriculture, and environmental conservation. Our flagship Familia Moja Initiative helps vulnerable families build self-reliance through practical skills, livelihood opportunities, and sustainable community development.

We welcome volunteers and partners from around the world to work alongside local communities and help create lasting change in rural Uganda.

    VOLUNTEERS & PARTNERSHIPS

Volunteers and development partners play a vital role in advancing the mission of the Ssamba Centre. Working alongside local communities, volunteers contribute their skills, knowledge, and experience in education, community development, women’s empowerment, agriculture, environmental conservation, construction, and community health.

Through strategic partnerships and volunteer engagement, we are able to expand opportunities and strengthen the impact of our programs.
